If you love beautiful nature, good company, adventure, and great food...then you will love Gros Ventre River Ranch. The setting is absolutely spectacular and incredibly peaceful. As a guest you are free to relax and soak in the beautiful views, or head out on a day adventure. The staff at Gros Ventre is incredibly welcoming, hospitable, and always willing to go the extra mile. Also, did I mention the delicious food? And the outdoor cook-out dinners with a live cowboy singer?
Its hard to imagine a more relaxing and beautiful spacer to spend time. Ranch owner Tina, managers Sean and Tori, as well as the entire ranch staff, are increadily wonderful and accomodating people. A big shout out to Emily, Dusty, and Jeff, some of the best wranglers I have met in my 15 years going to this ranch.
I would recommend this ranch at the absolute highest level. For all travelers, families, couples, and individuals, there is something for everyone to do, and truley enjoyable for all. Even spa massages in the comfort of your own accomodations!!! (Thanks Tarzan & Inez!) Food was excellent, and big thanks to all the office staff, kitchen staff, housekeeping staff and woodsmen for their hard work to keep the property so pristine and homey.
My husband and I are experienced English riders and wanted to try out Western riding in a beautiful and comfortable setting. We loved Gros Ventre River Ranch! The setting is magnificent, the rides great fun, with well -trained horses that are matched to your ability level. People with little or no experience also seemed to learn a good deal and to love the rides, which are generally in small groups according to ability level. The staff is uniformly upbeat and helpful, the food very good, and the other guests interesting and quite friendly.
I was lucky enough to travel to Gros Ventre River Ranch in summer of 2013. The location is perfect, just outside Jackson Hole, but far enough away to feel like you are really out on your own, with just the ranch, rivers, creeks, and beautiful mountains in the distance! The staff was oh so welcoming and very attentive. The cookouts were fabulous, with music, stories, and incredible food. Everything was just wonderful.
Gros Ventre River Ranch was a lovely place to connect with horses, other families and nature. Settled in a valley where you can see the Tetons, it has breathtaking vistas everyday whether from horseback or on foot. Staff are friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to take care of you.
